Well, while I'm waiting for a video to upload to YouTube so I can publicly embarrass one of my closest friends, I'll make a post I promised one of the youth group kids I'd make. A post dedicated solely to Caleb.
Caleb's a pretty cool kid. Lively, friendly, and seems to be genuinely interested in pursuing God, which is a truly admirable quality in any kid of his age. I think that he brings something unique and fresh to the youth group. Overall, I like him. :)

WoL Superbowl
I just had the coolest night ever! ^_^
My youth group and I went to Providence, RI for the Word of Life Superbowl event. Basically, it's an all-night party, from 6PM to 6AM, with a bunch of different events.
First, we went to a Providence Bruins hockey game, which was pretty cool. I like hockey, although, I have to admit, I prefer women's hockey, cause there's less fighting and more of a technical focus on the game. At least in my opinion.
Anyway, after the game was a rally, where they gave a short Gospel message, gave out a ton of prizes and stuff, and played a few games. Ben got to participate in a three-way tug-of-war. Didn't win, but he had a good time. :)
After all that stuff, which was over at midnight, we went to out first of two 3-hour activities, an "open gym". WoL had rented a huge sports complex and set up a bunch of different inflatable games and stuff, in addition to the 5 or so different courts/fields that were there. Let's see, there was a jousting arena, a Super Sumo thing (that was exhausting...), a mechanical bull (which I stayed on for 9 seconds!), and a couple other things. The soccer game that was going on though was pretty interesting. Well, it was more like "40 people trying to kill the ball toward the goal." It was a blast. ^_^
Oh, and I forgot to mention the free pizza and soda, heehee.
After the open gym we went roller-skating. I haven't done that in a looong time. Took me a little while to get used to it again, but once I did I wasn't too bad. Mickey on the other hand is a natural pro... :)
The skating place had a laser tag arena too. Aside from the kid on our team who insisted on being a jerk and team-killing, and the fact that the some of the equipment needs to be fixed, it was great. Mickey had only played once before, but she didn't know what to do that time cause nobody really explained it, so she was resistant to the idea of playing again. But I eventually convinced her, and she got the full brief, and she loved it. Always nice to have a convert. ^_^
So, yeah, by 5:30 we were all pretty much dead. Waited around till 6 for our other drivers to get there (None of us wanted to drive back home after staying up all night, which was probably a good idea.) So we (the leaders) got to ride back home in the back of Mom's LHS (leather seats, room to stretch a little, etc). Plus we got to see the sunrise. I haven't seen one of those in a long time...
We brought disposable cameras, so once the pictures from those come out, I'll post 'em, and you can all see what an AWESOME time we had!

The Bible Study That Never Was
Well, tonight was supposed to be the first night of a series of weekly Bible studies on the topic of love and relationships. I say "supposed to be" cause nobody showed up...
I had invited three people from church, and one of them was gonna bring a few friends. Well, the one who was bringing people had to go out of town on business, so that shot it down to two, a guy and a girl. The guy was like "Eh, maybe" when I asked him, so I didn't really hold out much hope anyway. Which made me glad the girl didn't come cause that would've been a little awkward...
Oh well, there's always next week.
Ooh, and Super Bowl's this weekend! All-night party FTW! I'll blog more about it tomorrow or Thursday.

Chess, Music, and Alchemy
Windows Vista has a really nice game of chess. It's 3D, so you can rotate the board and everything. Vista overall looks really nice graphically. Takes a monster of a PC to run it, but boy is it a big improvement over XP.
And those FireFox users out there, this in-browser spell-checker is really handy...
Also, grabbed the new Jeremy Camp and Newsboys cds off of iTunes. I love the songs Beyond Measure and In Wonder. w00t for Christian music!
Anyway, sorry for the haphazardly thrown together post, but Full Metal Alchemist is coming on in -1 minutes... Later!
